Good flooring starts below the surface. We prep the subfloor properly before installing tile, laminate or hardwood, so the finished floor stays flat and lasts.
In a heritage home, walls are rarely square and materials are older, so we measure on site and build to what is really there rather than to a drawing.
In a detached or semi-detached home, room to stage materials on site lets us work efficiently, and we phase the job to limit disruption.
Most properties have driveways, so we can park on site and bring tools and materials straight to the work area.
Laval is a short drive across the bridges from our Montréal base, and we plan visits around bridge traffic.
Sainte-Rose is a charming northern Laval district with a historic village centre, old stone homes and riverside views. Heritage homes in the village centre need careful, lower-impact repairs and renovations.
Flooring succeeds or fails on subfloor prep — leveling, moisture checks and acclimation prevent gaps, cupping and squeaks later.
Moisture-tolerant options like luxury vinyl plank or engineered products work best below grade.
