A broken fridge or washer can't wait. FixWorks sends a licensed technician to diagnose and fix major home appliances quickly, with honest pricing and no surprise fees.
Mercier, in the east end along rue Sherbrooke Est, offers a mix of mid-century bungalows and plexes with more yard and driveway space. Basements and exterior envelope work come up often in these postwar homes.
Fridges, washers and stoves usually fail from worn seals, clogged drains, failed heating elements or control boards — we diagnose first so you only pay for the part that is actually bad.
In a plex we often work with several households in one building, so we confirm access with the owner and tenants, keep shared stairs clear and aim to finish in as few visits as possible.
In a bungalow or cottage, access is usually straightforward, which lets us bring the right parts and finish most repairs in a single visit.
Most properties have driveways, so we can park on site and bring tools and materials straight to the work area.
Our team is based in Montréal, so jobs across the city's boroughs are usually scheduled quickly.
As a rule of thumb, if the repair costs less than about half of a new unit and the appliance is under ten years old, repair is usually the better value. We tell you honestly after diagnosing.
We carry the most common seals, elements, pumps and sensors, so many repairs finish in a single visit.
