A door that won't close properly or a lock that sticks is both an annoyance and a security gap. We fix hinges, frames, locks and handles on interior and exterior doors.
Laval-des-Rapides, on the south edge of the island facing Montréal, mixes older plexes, bungalows and rental buildings near the metro. Rental-heavy streets mean coordinating with landlords and tenants and keeping access simple.
Sticking cylinders, worn latches and misaligned strike plates are the usual culprits when a lock jams or a door will not close tight.
In a plex we often work with several households in one building, so we confirm access with the owner and tenants, keep shared stairs clear and aim to finish in as few visits as possible.
In a detached or semi-detached home, we can usually park at the property and bring tools straight in, which keeps repair visits efficient.
Parking is mostly on the street here, so we time visits and load-in to avoid permit and loading-zone problems.
Laval is a short drive across the bridges from our Montréal base, and we plan visits around bridge traffic.
