A door that won't close properly or a lock that sticks is both an annoyance and a security gap. We fix hinges, frames, locks and handles on interior and exterior doors.
Lachine, beside the canal and the lakefront, mixes older stone and brick homes near the canal with family houses farther in. Older homes near the canal and newer suburban-style streets inland call for different approaches.
Sticking cylinders, worn latches and misaligned strike plates are the usual culprits when a lock jams or a door will not close tight.
In a detached or semi-detached home, we can usually park at the property and bring tools straight in, which keeps repair visits efficient.
In older character homes, original materials are worth saving where possible, so we repair rather than replace and protect floors and trim while we work.
Most properties have driveways, so we can park on site and bring tools and materials straight to the work area.
Our team is based in Montréal, so jobs across the city's boroughs are usually scheduled quickly.
